Rosie the Riveter & Beyond: How Women Helped Win WWII

This informative presentation, accompanied by colorful slides, highlights women’s important contribution to Allied Victory in World War II.

Presenter Jeannette Gutierrez delves into the many ways women did their part, including war production work, women in the armed forces, volunteer women, and celebrity influencers. We owe so much to Rosie & her sisters, and this presentation covers it all. The presentation includes a display of WWII artifacts such as ration books, propaganda pamphlets, and a rivet gun.

Jeannette, a retired advertising professional, speaks on behalf of the Michigan Rosies, a proudly independent and Michigan-based nonprofit group dedicated to honoring the Rosies of WWII living and passed and to preserving Rosie’s legacy in Michigan and beyond.

This presentation is on Friday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in room G129 in the Ash TLC Building on MCC's Greenville campus. The cost is $5 and may be paid in cash at the door.

Pre-registration is preferred online at montcalm.edu/LLL. You may also email LLL@montcalm.edu or call 989-328-1243 for more information or to register.
