Dog Training Workshops

Join us for one or all of MCC's upcoming dog training workshops sponsored by the Ag Club! Two local experienced trainers will be on hand to share training techniques, show proper training equipment and supplies, model behaviors and methods, answer your questions and more. Session details below:
  • April 30 from 6:30 -7:15 p.m.: In-person or virtual classroom pre-training (without dogs) to discuss what kind of equipment is needed to train your dog, what to expect from sessions with your pet, what to bring (proof of rabies vaccine). The in-person/virtual lecture will take place in room S106 of the Kenneth J. Smith Building on MCC's Sidney campus. If you would like to join this session online, you will receive the Teams meeting link upon completion of this form.
  • May 7 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.: In-person workshop with your dog to work on training techniques. Microchipping available during this session while supplies last ($15). Meet near the Greenhouse on MCC's Sidney campus.
  • May 14 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.: In-person workshop with your dog to work on training techniques. Meet near the Greenhouse on MCC's Sidney campus.
  • May 21 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.: In-person workshop with your dog to work on training techniques. Meet near the Greenhouse on MCC's Sidney campus.
  • May 28 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.: In-person workshop with your dog to work on training techniques. Meet near the Greenhouse on MCC's Sidney campus.

During each workshop, dogs must stay on a leash. The pre-training is free, but workshops cost $15 each. Can be paid the evening of the workshop with cash or check (made out to Montcalm Community College).
